Camo Craze and Culture Vultures?

Who knew that matching camouflage sets would ever be in style? We’ve seen Rihanna wear it and that’s pretty much all we had to see before we all realized we needed that fit in our wardrobes.

This street styled outfit became big off of the designers at PLUGGEDNYC. The black owned business came out with these matching sets and pretty much everyone on Twitter was here for it. For those who still don’t know what I am talking about, the outfit is a two piece set that has a camo crop top shirt or bandeau and matching camo printed pants. Super cute huh? They also have a super cute price which totals to around $155 USD. Although the set is quite pricey, it’s totally worth it. Who wouldn’t want to duplicate the looks of style icon and beaut Riri?

As Twitter and YouTubers continue to rave over the style, it wasn’t long before the culture vultures tried to take the trend in their own hands. Here’s the tea. Kendall and Kylie Jenner who also have their own retail business that can be found exclusively at Pacsun decided to launch the exact same outfit in their own line! How funny. Well it wasn’t too funny for the ladies at PLUGGEDNYC who accused the sisters of ripping off their line and making money off their ideas. The Jenner’s have been accused of doing this on multiple accounts and have even been seen deleting their posts. The Twitter community jokingly, but in a quite serious manner has reminded its fashion innovators to “keep their ideas to themselves before the Jenner’s see it.” They’re always on the look out.

Needless to say, the camo collection at PLUGGEDNYC is a must have for the fall season as the weather starts to get a little cooler. Nothing beats looking comfy and cute at the same time. Make sure you’re not out the loop and visit their website at pluggednyc.com and social media @pluggednycstore to see their new releases. Let’s support black businesses!
