Fall/Winter 2017 Beauty Must Haves

6200680A-D522-4C88-BBFA-F08485CD7E70We’re finally getting into the thick of fall now (feels like winter though), my absolute favorite time of year. Fall is one of the best times to make new changes to your routine. And since it’s only getting colder from here, it’s definitely time to rethink and revamp your beauty routine as well! From hair, to skincare, to makeup, I’ve got you covered with this must-have guide.

Hair

The gently-tousled hair look has been in for a few seasons now, and I love it. Texturizing spray is the way to go for an almost-no-effort kind of look, and it’s usually a cheap and easy product to use! You can also use your dry shampoo if you’re in a pinch, as it usually helps with texture and volume as well. My favorite products are the Garnier Frutis De-Constructed Texture Tease Spray ($4.49) and Lush’s No Drought Dry Shampoo ($8.95). Just spray a little on (or in the case of the dry shampoo, sprinkle) and you’re good to go.

Skincare

Soft, glowy skin is ALWAYS on trend. Everyone’s got to keep their skin moisturized, especially once it gets really cold. That’s where the Glossier Phase 1 Set ($30) comes in: it comes with a hydrating cleanser, a moisturizer that helps with redness, and a lip balm. Combined, they make up the essentials for any good skincare routine, especially for winter.

It’s also a good time to not only think upgrading your facial moisturizer, but for your whole body! The Body Hero Duo ($35) is made up of both a body wash and a post-shower moisturizer, guaranteed to make your skin feel clean, soft, and hydrated.

Makeup

While dewy skin is one of our faves for fall, having a good highlighter always helps enhance your skin – no matter how dewy already. Milk Makeup has you covered here, with their awesome Holographic Stick highlighter ($28). The only problem you’ll ever have with this product is choosing between the soft peach tone and a holographic lavender!

The beauty world agrees: artsy liner is never going away. Makeup artists at Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter proved it, by giving new dimension to plain eyeliner with bold lines and shapes. I love Stila’s Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner ($22) for this task: it’s literally in the name. It goes on smooth without skipping, doesn’t smudge, and of course, it’s waterproof. What more could you ask for?

Of course, you’ve got to rock a bold, dark lip during the fall. There are three products you should definitely have for the ultimate vamp lip this season. First, the shade Bane from Melt Cosmetics ($19) is an matte black lipstick for when you’re feeling frisky. The second is the slightly more tame Purgatory from Black Moon Cosmetics ($18), a beautiful deep plum for that bad babe look. Last but certainly not least is Vamp from Anastasia Beverly Hills ($20), one of my favorite burgundy liquid lipsticks. All of these products have creamy, soft formulas that last all day.
