This year’s Met Gala’s theme was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” and I swear everyone was on point and stayed pretty consistent with the theme minus a few (I love you Kendall, but come on…). Held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, celebrities showed really took us to church and served their best and most “heavenly” looks. Headpieces were very popular pieces worn along with subtle or very noticeable jewels. Here’s a look at my top 12 favorite looks for Monday night’s event and this was so hard for me because everyone literally slayed this year’s theme:
Lily Collins in Givenchy
With a Clare Waight Keller crown, channeling her inner weeping Mary.
Solange in Iris van Herpen
And a durag featuring a long tail that said “My God Wears a Durag”.
Cardi B in Moschino
Making her grande appearance arm and arm with Jeremy Scott.
Lana Del Rey in Gucci
With designer, Alessandro Michele, and actor, Jared Leto, gracefully color-coordinating with her attire.
Janelle Monae In Marc Jacobs
Cara Delevingne in Dior
Spring 2018 Couture.
Priyanka Chopra in Ralph Lauren
The velvet goddess we didn’t know we needed.
Zendaya in Versace
Giving us Joan of Arc vibes.
Ariana Grande in Vera Wang
Her dress had images from the Sistine Chapel printed all over it.
SZA in Versace
Giving us the impression of the Weeping Madonna.
Katy Perry in Versace
Ready to blow the paps away with her graceful wing ensemble.
I saved the best for last…
